The boat ramp at Lake Zwerner will be closed beginning Thursday, March 12, 2026, while crews work on the pedestrian bridge project in the area. For everyone’s safety, the ramp and immediate work zone will remain closed during construction activities. Overview

The City of Dahlonega Police Department enforces state and local laws, traffic laws, alcohol licensing compliance and city ordinance violations. 

Chief of Police

The Chief of Police serves as the chief law enforcement for the City.  Additionally, the Chief coordinates with other local and state law enforcement agencies and many festival and event planners to ensure the safety of those who live, work and visit the City of Dahlonega.
